The important question is not simply what AI can create. It is what a teacher can do with the time and possibilities it opens up.
Support the craft.
Preparing a lesson involves choices: what to include, where to slow down, and how to make an abstract idea feel concrete. We see AI as a useful collaborator in preparation, with teachers guiding the final experience.
Leave room for judgement.
A generated explanation is a starting point, not an authority. Teachers need to be able to review, adapt, and question the materials they bring into their classrooms. Their knowledge of the subject and their students matters.
Build around the relationship.
A teacher notices a puzzled look, recognises an unexpected insight, and finds a different way to explain. Those moments are central to our vision for AIR. Technology should make room for them.
We’re building with a simple belief: the best classroom technology helps the people in the room do more of what matters.
