Google and password sign-in
The Firebase SDK keeps its sign-in credentials in tab-scoped browser session storage. AIR stores only public SDK configuration and a short-lived account-linking intent alongside it. Signing out through AIR clears the Firebase SDK session. Teacher and adult marketplace access are held in separate Secure, HttpOnly host cookies; refreshing Firebase does not extend AIR’s original 12-hour session limit.
More than cookies
AIR Master Class uses cookies for sign-in and class access, localStorage for preferences and recovery, and sessionStorage for some tab-specific classroom state. Cookies are sent with relevant requests; localStorage and sessionStorage are read by the application in your browser.
The marketing pages do not add advertising or marketing analytics cookies. If you have used the teaching application on the same site, its existing cookies may still be present when you visit a marketing page. Loading external fonts or joining live video also makes requests to the relevant provider.
Sign-in and class access
These cookies support the requested account or classroom service. Their lifetimes depend on the session and deployment configuration; the values below describe AIR’s implementation defaults, not a promise about data stored on the server.
- Teacher session ·
air_session - Keeps you signed in. The default lifetime is 12 hours; signing out clears the cookie. It is inaccessible to page JavaScript and uses Secure protection in production.
- Platform administrator session ·
__Host-air_admin_session - Used only on the selected admin hostname after a named administrator signs in with a pre-issued access token. The cookie contains a separate session credential, not the pasted login token. It is Secure, inaccessible to page JavaScript, and restricted to that hostname. Default sessions expire after eight hours or 30 minutes of inactivity; signing out or revoking access invalidates them on the server. The pasted login token is not kept in localStorage or sessionStorage.
- Joining continuation ·
__Secure-air_join_resolve - Lets an invitation survive the move to the joining page and a reload. Once joining is open, the default is 15 minutes. An early-arrival check can extend it until the joining window, capped at one day per check and by invitation expiry. It is cleared when a seat is claimed.
- Class access ·
__Secure-air_join_grant - Holds permission for the particular class until its joining window closes or access is revoked. Leaving through AIR clears it. A remaining cookie cannot override server-side revocation.
- Returning device ·
__Secure-air_join_device - A random identifier used to recognise a returning device in a class and limit duplicate access. It can remain for up to 365 days. It is not an advertising identifier. Leaving one class does not automatically remove this device cookie.
Preferences and unfinished work
- Motion preference
air-marketing-reduce-motionremembers the footer’s decorative-motion setting in localStorage. Your device’s reduced-motion preference takes precedence. This stored choice has no automatic expiry.- Sound preference
air-marketing-soundremembers whether the home page character’s sound effects are on or off, in localStorage. Sounds play only after you click, tap or press a key on the page. This stored choice has no automatic expiry.- Airo’s daily hello
air-teacher-airo-greetedremembers the day the teacher dashboard last showed the character’s greeting, so it appears at most once a day, in localStorage. It is replaced each day it shows and has no automatic expiry.- Language and lesson preferences
- AIR can remember student language and lesson-setup choices on the device. These use localStorage and remain until changed, cleared by the app or removed through browser settings.
- Draft and edit recovery
- Lesson setup, unfinished outline or slide edits, upload progress, resource edits and class-scheduling drafts can be kept in localStorage to recover after interruptions. Some records contain actual lesson text or instructions. The app clears particular records after successful actions; unfinished recovery records may remain without an automatic expiry.
- Tab-specific classroom state
- sessionStorage supports display access, seat markers, editor coordination and presenter connections. It normally lasts for that tab’s session and survives reloads; some browsers restore it when restoring a previous session. Leaving or closing a tab does not necessarily remove all localStorage recovery data.
The contact form keeps the entered enquiry and retry reference in page memory only. Reloading loses them; the form does not put the enquiry in localStorage or sessionStorage. A submitted email is separate from browser storage.
External services
Google Fonts supplies this website’s typefaces through external browser requests. The live-class video client connects to 100ms when used and may use provider-managed browser state for media preferences or connection operation. Provider behavior is governed by the relevant service and browser settings; this notice does not claim that third-party services never use cookies or storage.
OpenAI, Gemini and Resend are called by AIR’s backend for their respective tasks; the marketing pages do not embed their account dashboards. See services involved in delivery for details and provider links.
Your controls
Use the Pause decorative motion control in the footer to change the website’s motion preference, and the Sound switch at the top of the home page to turn the character’s sound effects off or on. Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect or clear AIR cookies and storage. Save or export unfinished work first: clearing site data can remove recovery copies, sign you out and require you to reopen a class invitation.
Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in or class joining. Blocking storage can limit preference and recovery features. Camera and microphone permissions are separate controls in your browser; clearing a cookie is not the same as revoking device permission.
On a shared device, sign out and consider clearing AIR site data after saving your work. This affects the browser copy, not saved lessons, class reports or copies downloaded elsewhere. For server-side privacy questions, contact AIR Master Class.
